    Fighting purrs?

What do you know about the fighting purrs that I hear so much about? Did a little research today about gobblers that are silent and found a bunch of info on fighting purrs being the best tactic.

Sounded just like a purr made on a slate that just never stopped.

This morning I called for a friend, had 1 off the roost gobble twice and nothing.  then an hour later one in a field that gobbled twice a nothing. This happened one more time and neither gobbler made a sound after the second gobble.   I mixed the calls up and started low and worked high. Nothing?

Waited each one out at least 45minutes.

    Oh well, still the novice......

I really want to get into Turkey hunting next year. Got the gun, just havent gone after the bird. Everyone that I talk to say that after you shoot your first bird, your hooked. Nothing like another adiction. Ha!
